There are so many benefits of having a wedding planner. Wedding planners are professionals who will not overlook the small details as a bride may.  Here are a few reasons why hiring a wedding planner will benefit you!

The number one reason brides may shy away from hiring a wedding planner is because they may think it is an additional cost. Which in hindsight may be true. But they will also help you stick to your budget and make those dollars stretch as far as they can. Since you may be first time bride, chances are you probably never have planned an event like a wedding before. There are so many details you might miss. Wedding planners have planned many weddings before, so they will be able to help you plan all the details down to the final T.

Since many of the wedding planners you may hire, will probably be from your local towns or surrounding areas, the chances they have worked with your venue are likely. The event planners are always networking and researching the vendors and the wedding market. Wedding planners may be able to get you better deals because the vendors are familiar with them.

Wedding planners can save you time. It’s their job to make your wedding ideas come to life. Be sure to tell them all your ideas and thoughts. They will then figure out how to make your dream wedding happen. They have been doing this for awhile — so they will know how to stay on top of your ideas without shying away from them!

Another great aspect of having a wedding planner is they will fix anything that goes wrong, which something will go wrong on your wedding day. Its less stress for you and your soon to be husband, the less things you have to worry about, they more relaxed you two will be!

There may be some reasons not to hire a wedding planner. The first one is the obvious, you can not afford to hire one, they will cost you about 10% of your wedding budget. If you have to cut back on some of the important things, then you shouldn’t hire someone on to help with your planning. A good fix for this would be to use a venue that offers prepackaged services. There are also checklists and manuals on how to plan your own wedding.

If some one you know, like a family member has planned a wedding before, maybe they can help plan yours. It does not hurt to ask, the worst thing they can do is say no. But I bet they would be honored to help you on such an important day!

If you have a lot of time on your hands, you will have time to call and visit vendors. You will also have time to look in magazines and use the internet to get ideas of what you would like to do for your wedding (Pintrest, is a great place to start).

You may also consider hiring a wedding coordinator, just for the day of the wedding to ensure things will run smoothly.
